Fafa Tea Pitcher

A spouted sharing pitcher by Li Yongfa.

The piece has a low rounded body, a small pouring lip, a warm clay-coloured exterior, and a dark glazed interior. It is made to sit naturally in the hand: the rounded form fits closely against the palm, while the low body gives a steady, comfortable feeling when pouring.

The surface is matte and earthy, with glaze patterns that vary from piece to piece. Each pitcher carries its own marks from the making and firing process — small shifts in tone, texture, and pattern that make every piece unique.

Used after brewing, it holds the tea before pouring it evenly between cups. It works well with small teapots, gaiwans, and short infusions.
