Silver Glaze Tea Cup

A small tea cup made from high-fired white porcelain, finished with silver glaze on the outside.

It has a clean white interior and a soft metallic surface that catches light gently. With a volume of about 30 ml, it is suited for gongfu tea, tasting, and very short pours over several infusions.

Silver glaze may oxidise, darken, or develop small marks over time. This is a natural part of the material and use.

Hand wash gently with warm water and a soft sponge. Avoid dishwasher use, microwave use, sudden temperature changes, and soaking for long periods.

The silver glaze may oxidise, darken, or develop small marks over time. This is normal. Dry fully after use with a soft cloth, and store in a dry place.

Avoid abrasive sponges, metal utensils, strong detergents, and cleaners containing sulfur.

If you prefer a brighter surface, gently wipe the silver glaze with a silver polishing cloth when the cup is completely dry. Otherwise, allow the surface to develop naturally with use.
