Violet Clay Cup

A small tea cup with matching tray, made from high-fired coarse clay in Dehua.

The cup has a dark glazed interior and a matte purple outer surface. It sits on a small shaped tray, giving the piece a slightly playful presence while keeping the form simple and compact.

With a volume of about 40 ml, it is suited for gongfu tea, tasting, and short pours over several infusions.
