Wood Ash Glaze Tea cup

A small ceramic tea cup from Fujian, finished with wood ash glaze.

It has an open shape, three small feet, and a soft surface that moves between warm white and pale grey. The ash glaze creates slight variations in tone and texture, so each piece may be a little different.

With a volume of about 60 ml, it is suited for gongfu tea, tasting, and short pours over several infusions. It can be used alone or with the matching wood ash glaze teapot.
