Description
Origin: Ailao Mountains, Yunnan, China
Elevation: ~2000 m
Harvest: Spring
Blooming Clarity comes from the Ailao Mountains of Yunnan at around 2,000 metres above sea level. Rich forest biodiversity, abundant diffused light and pronounced day–night temperature shifts allow the tea leaves to develop remarkable clarity, freshness and natural sweetness.
The tea is crafted by a tea researcher who has spent years studying Pu'er and the tea-growing regions of Yunnan. Working closely with local farmers, he focuses on cultivation and harvesting practices that express the landscape rather than market trends.
A gentle green tea process preserves the freshness of the leaves, and this particular lot was selected for its exceptional cold-brewing performance. Cold brewing highlights delicate white blossoms and sweet fruit with almost no bitterness, while hot brewing brings out a gentle mung bean sweetness and a fuller texture. However it is brewed, the tea remains clean, vibrant and unmistakably expressive of the Ailao Mountains.
