Description

Origin: Lincang, Yunnan
Elevation: 1300–2000 m
Harvest: June–August (summer)

This Oriental Beauty comes from the high mountains of Lincang, Yunnan. Grown from Taiwanese tea cultivars and crafted by a Taiwanese tea maker who has spent years working in Yunnan, it brings together Taiwanese tea-making tradition and Yunnan's mountain terroir.
The signature aroma of Oriental Beauty begins in the tea garden. During summer, leafhopper feeding triggers a natural response in the tea leaves, enriching their aromatic compounds. Through withering, oxidation and roasting, these become the tea's distinctive honeyed, floral and ripe-fruit character. Yunnan's high elevation, abundant mist and wide day–night temperature shifts give this expression more body, sweetness and depth than a traditional Taiwanese Oriental Beauty. The cup opens with honey, floral notes, Muscat grape and ripe pear, finishing silky, rounded and delicately toasted.
